What is two-factor authentication?
Two-factor authentication (2FA) is an additional level of security for your business and employees when identities matter. In other words, 2FA is a program that requires a second form of identity verification on top of a username and password.

What’s wrong with just using passwords?
Passwords are a necessary component of security for most things we do online and on business networks. Even with 2FA, you will still need strong passwords! But passwords—even long, complicated passwords—aren’t unhackable by any means. Many people use easy-to-guess passwords and use the same password across multiple accounts, making it simpler for attackers to target them. Even in companies with robust password security practices, “security fatigue” can set in, and people who once diligently changed their passwords monthly using hard-to-guess passwords become complacent.

How can two-factor authentication help my business?
2FA is a great line of defense that is above typical human error, phishing, and brute force login attempts that can get through employees’ passwords.
